Clearsonic Drum Enclosure

Hey guys we just purchased and installed the MiniMega Clearsonic drum enclosure. It is amazing how much quieter the platform is now.

My question for you who may have is how have you worked with the door so that it opens and closes easy? Ours is sitting on carpent so it is not the smoothest to open and close.

Thanks

I've never had issues with the door being hard to open. If you have thick carpet you might try putting furniture sliders under the door. Possibly alter the sliders to stay attached to the Lexan. You could also super glue the hinge so that the door is a little higher.

Yeah the issue is the carpet on the platform. I like the furniture sliders idea. If that doesn't work well I may sit the enclosure on 1x6 pieces of wood just to raise it off the floor. Thanks for the idea.

Remember that the way the hinges are designed the door panel will just slip down if you raise the rest of the enclosure. You will have to glue the hinge to both the door and the next panel in order to allow the door to sit a bit higher than the rest of the enclosure.
