| I can say from experience that if you plan on mixing audio separately for video, then you would want to go the soundproofed route. Our media room is soundproofed naturally due to the fact that we are isolated by a couple of rooms and a hallway so we don't hear anything except for what we get over the snake.

| Sound isolation will be necessary if you want the highest quality broadcast mix as well as com communications. This will require special design of door closures, glass, wall etc. is paramount for correct isolation. All conduit, corners, seems, etc. need to be properly sealed to keep sound transmission to a minimum. C. |

| Ok. The audio for the simulcast does come from our broadcast board, but that board is located in the TV Production room. The media room will just house about 4 computers and a lighting board and the appropriate people to run them. During special productions, it'll probably also house the general director.

| That's what I wanted to know. We just had a meeting about placement of this room, and I brought up the fact that sound isolation of some sort would be needed. I just wanted to double check that before I go and really push for it to be done.
