cd burner

i have used my cd burner within my laptop for some 12 months to produce my masters as i am editing in Audacity in that lap top alas it has now failed,
Can anyone recomend a suitable burner , stand alone,
hopefully , to stand the more rigorous use of producing 2 or three masters or more a week.
i will greatly apreciate any help and guidance, particularly hearing what others are using and approx costs.
Every Blessing

I had to do a DVD for a confirmation for a friend and I wanted to use my wife's MacBook iDVD and iMovie to create it. However the Mac that we bought didn't have a DVD burner so I went here http://eshop.macsales.com/shop/firewire/optical-drives/. I got the DVD burner that doesn't come with any software because it said that the new iLife suite will work with an external DVDR. It worked flawlessly. It appears that you should be able to connect it to a PC as well, I would assume because the connections are USB or Firewire.

Are you looking for an outboard computer CD burner, or a standalone audio CD recorder (that you plug audio into and out comes a CD)?
