| Totally free video training web site just started for stage lighting Hello Everyone, I have begun a new web site in my down time that provides links to many of the free stage lighting training materials available all over the internet. This includes videos, tutorials, PDFs, PowerPoints, Excel Spreadsheets, useful software and much more! We are doing the work for you so you don't have to spend any time searching for the help you need! Our web site is called LightingTrainer.COM Please search for our name at Google because I have only posted here a few times before this. I will definitely try to come by more and help out! But until my 15th post gets here, look up the site and enjoy learning for free!! |

| Thanks Tim! It has been fun to put this together (a ton of work but fun) and as you mentioned it will just keep growing. We have things stacked up to be added and we will be doing that every day. The link you posted need editing because it is missing the "i" out of trainer I will post in here as we make updates. I wanted to mention that we had to place ads on the site to help keep it free but please let me know if any of them are in your way or a hassle of some sort. The ads by Google seem quite targeted and they seem to be interesting enough to hopefully follow. I was really surprised how many "real" staging companies and other highly relevant companies show up in these, at least from what I can see of the links. So hopefully they will actually be useful! There so much stuff to put up there that this site will just keep getting more and more useful. Certainly worth bookmarking once your there. Hope you guys enjoy the new LightingTrainer.COM web site and please tell me if there is anything there that you don't like or that is broken. Thanks!! |

Might want to check out your sponsors carefully. SteveV |

| Hey I think I was just able to turn them off myself! Let me know if you see anything that doesn't seem family friendly. Thanks again! Thanks for pointing that out Steve although I have noticed it too. The Google ads are very targeted and they have been great. But I am about to kick the other one out because they are not targeted at all but they were supposed to be! I am contacting them to either get them fixed or I will pull them. We are telling younger people about the site too and I wouldn't want them stumbling in to the wrong place. Thanks again for any and all comments and for noting this about the bad ads! |

| Got rid of the filth! Hey Guys, I think I got those fixed, please let me know if you see anything not family friendly! I also got rid of the popup page that would come between pages. At least I hope I did! |

| LightingTrainer.COM Update LightingTrainer.COM Update: Just posted in our Spotlight a real cool Sound to Light video by Andrew Voller. I highly recommend checking that out. We also recently posted a tutorial series for the ETC Ion that is 46 videos long You will also find newly posted in the ETC section a real well done demo by Sarah Clausen for the new Element lighting console. That is about 10 minutes long. Another item to look for on the console page is a real well done tutorial series on the Strand Palette line of boards. This series is 39 videos long. One last one to look for is a great little gem from LDI 1999 which was an 8 minute demo of the infamous Icon M. If you have never seen this one you must watch it if not just for history's sake. You know where to go, thanks! |

I can finally say that a newer version of the Jands Vista will be talked about much more publicly in the next few weeks and months. I could never know when it would be released but I know we will begin seeing more about it very soon and they have discussed it in a few other forums. They have already said that it addresses many of the user requests that have come along. So you can imagine that this has been worth waiting for not only for us Vista users but also those of us who like to make the videos. So expect version 2 of the Jands Vista videos to become available soon. We are actually planning all sorts of other materials as well and they should all be available on the Jands Vista web site along with LightingTrainer.COM We have been posting all sorts of new videos and you will find really useful fresh content there. Check it out for yourself at lightingtrainer.com |
