I want to move to Propresenter, and away from what is currently used. (EasyWorship 07)
This is ALL brand new to me!

I want to get a Macbook, but my budget will not allow for a brand new one! We are in a new building that is not finished so no screens are permanent right now. I want 2, 2 in front and 1 at back.

What I need to know is what adapters are there on an older (2010) macbook so I can run Propresenter5?
*EVENTUALLY we will just have an imac or mac mini in the visual room, but for now it has to be a laptop.
-How many people can I realistically train to run the screens for our church services?
We have 3 projectors, 2 that match and one different brand. Gotta get the specs on them. We will likely build screens like we did last time.

I just purchased the my16-aud card from audinate. The main purpose of this is for training with virtual soundcheck. The second is for occasional live recording of weekend worship. I have a few questions about routing. We are using a dm-2000 and already have the aviom card in slot 3. The direct outs are being used to send the input channels to the avioms via slot 3 and are post eq/pre-fader. I installed the dante card in slot 4. I don't think it's possible to send the same input to two different slots via direct outs. And obviously I want the send to my DAW to be pre-eq and pre-fader. Is my best option to duplicate the input channels I want to record on a different layer of the dm-2000 and send those via the dante card? If you guys have any other creative routing options or if I'm missing something obvious let me know. Thanks!

Hey y'all,

Our church is looking into getting into the world of audio streaming. Just audio streaming (for the moment). We don't want the extra cost involved with providers who stream video and audio. Does anyone know a provider (or better yet, a server application) that will let us just stream audio to our website, and not break the bank? Our viewership will likely be quite small to start out with, so no need to worry about getting lots of bandwidth. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Recently it started doing weird things. Our worship pastor wants me to just send it in and get it fixed.
Can you please help me make the argument that we should just buy a whole new unit.
All. As some of you have said prayers for my family, last week one was answered after a year. Praise the Lord.
I have a favor of all of you. My son is struggling with his life more than I can realize. Just recently I saw him reading his bible, that touch me very deeply. He has started a new job, but it is not the easy. You have to go through brush/weeds to get to some spots and he already has poison. He is trying so hard to get back on his feet but it has been a stuggle for him. Please lift him up in your prayers. His name is Adam
Thank You
God Bless

I have been asked recently by our pastor if we could start doing live video feeds of our service. I am primarily a lighting guy and have been wanting to get into this field as well. But so here is the deal.

Pastor has given me no set budget to work with but I know that he doesn't want to spend a lot of money. I think for know he just wants to do one camera Front of House and broadcast the sermon. I have recently been looking at the Canon-XA10 which seems to be promising for a one camera set up. We would most likely replace the camera that we use to send video to the lobby TV. The main question I have is how would we get from the camera to a broad casting service? Is there a way that we could just connect the camera to the iMac we have running pro-presenter and sent it to the website? Or would I need a whole different computer and other accessories such as switchers, encoders, etc.

Any info is helpful info in my case.

Hello all, Our church is in the process of switching over from MediaShout 4.5 to ProPresenter. With that, I am the person in charge of merging the song library from MS to PP. I have discovered this is no easy task.

I exported all the songs from MS into 1 .txt file and I'm importing them individually into PP using the "import from copied text" method. Is this the best way?
Also, Is it best to import just the content (verse 1, 2, 3, chorus, bridge, ect.) then worry about the arrangement using the arrangements manager? Or is it best to take the time and get the song file arrangement set at initial creation in the editor? Using this method, the operator wouldn't necessarily have to select a "default" arrangement every time a song is imported.

I'm still getting used to PP but I really like what I see thus far. Any other tips and tricks for making the switch over?
