Easter Service

It was a GOD thing for sure!! The Praise Band, Choir and AV support was wonderful today. The old saying of garbage in - garbage out... is true with the sound system. There is not a lot the sound guy can do if the band and/or choir are off. That was not the case today. They both were sounding great and were really on top of their game. It made the sound board guy's job a lot easier. NOT to take anything away from the sound guy though. He was on travel all last week so he missed all the rehearsals this week. He walked in today and hit every cue on it's mark. He did a great job.

We had lots of videos as part of the service today; music videos, moving backgrounds, etc... During the reheasals there were times that the computer locked up, so I was a little concerned about it. Just as we started the service today with a music video, it locked up. The screen went black. I quickly killed the program, and started it up again. Within 45 seconds we were up and running. Since this was the first thing that happened in the service not many people noticed it. The entire service then ran without a problem. Praise God for that.

It's so great to have a worship service like this; the music sounding great, the pastor with a great sermon AND a full house, all to give GOD the glory.

Good for God and for His Kingdom. We had four services, lighting, videos, hymns, praise music, all to His glory.

Media Shout did freeze on me (which it does from time to time) during the scripture, so I had to go to blank screen, restart and then came in when a new set of scripture was read. I hate when that happens, but the Holy Spirit was definately present at Aldersgate UMC, Nixa, Mo - He is Alive!
