| Re-introduce myself I participated here several years ago as the staff A/G guy at my church.
When the congregation was voting on whether to build a new facility, I made the mistake of trying to serve the congregation by speaking about what I believed would be problems with the design so they could make an informed choice.
It turned out, I was expected to toe the 'building committee line' and applaud and rubber stamp what I believe was a bad design - IOW, serve the church hierarchy, not the church (IMHO <G>.)
I'm returning towards this ministry (some at my original church, some at a recent plant) and will be doing some catch up; recalling the great advice and fellowship here.
FWIW, I'm starting a thread in the Installations/Architecture section on basic room shape and design, and the problems I've seen with a "modern " stage on the long wall design - I didn't find a similar discussion doing a forum search.
I'm really interested as to the experience others have had with room shape (and solutions they have come up with. |
