EAT - Encourage, Applaud, & Thank Here's where we can do exactly those things - encourage, applaud, and thank each other for our service to the kingdom - both here on CMN and, more importantly, in our churches or other ministries. The glory goes to God, but we're to build one another up!

unofficial cmn reunion

Richard Williams (aka Rev65) and I were talking in Branson last weekend and we remembered how much we enjoyed the fellowship of cmn conventions in St. Louis, Indianapolis and Dallas. I missed Baltimore as I forgot to bring my wallet, which included my drivers license to the airport.

But anyway, the thought occured to us, it might be fun to have a unofficial reunion at some point. Just a couple of days of media talk, fellowship, meals and of course a trip to Coldstones. I dont know how feasible this might be, but I thought I would put it up the flag pole and see if anyone salutes

Bob

Bob - I'd love to attend. I guess the question is where?

If people want to come to Chicago, I'd be more than willing to host @ our church. And we've got Coldstone here

I do think the center of the country makes a lot of sense, plus Chicago would be a easy place for transportation. I think Rev65 would be open to hosting in Branson and that would be a great place for families

I could see doing that if it was somewhere I could get to in a drive that wasn't 8-10 hours... much more than that and it would be hard to justify the expense

reunion

Mark,
Branson, I think is about 8 hours from you. If we did it in off season and during the week, I might be able to help us some dirt cheap housing options there as well.

My thought we wouldn't try to recreate a convention, but put the emphasis on fellowship, mutual sharing of ideas and a few workshops that scratched where we itched.

Phil, Dan, if you are lurking, what do you guys think of idea? Len and Jason, if it fit with your schdedule would you guys have any interest? And it would be great if Tim could be there.

Just a thought or two.

If Branson is an option, I'm in the area to help Richard out. I clock from nearby Springfield to Dallas in 6-1/2 hours. Chicago is 8 with minimal stops.

Branson is about an 18 hour drive for me...
I'd definitely consider it though

Fly... and I can shuttle folks to/from the airport. Hope those attending Echo in Dallas have a great time of networking & fellowship. CMN has everyone beat on that! True "community."

reunion

It wouldn't be a reunion without you Joseph and New Jersey Frank as well. Who would document our time without your photography skills. Lets all make this a matter for prayer.

One concern is that the only ones who have posted on this thread are us old timer's pardon the expression. Maybe the word reunion might feel exclusive. The goal would be to help others ecperience the face to face community as well.
