Methodist hymnal in easyworship

Does anyone know an easy way, other than copy/paste, to import the United Methodist Hymnal into EW? I cannot find it to purchase through EW, yet I am sure someone has already encountered this situation. Thanks for any help you can send my way.

Not sure that is available as a published work to download from EW. I know if you have a CCLI number (which you need to have to reproduce music and/or project lyrics) there is SongSelect integrated into EW 2009. You would log into the CCLI website through the online tab and there will be a button at the top right of the screen that says "import" and from there you do not need to copy/paste to get your information. Any hymn that has been published and has been accepted to be licensed through CCLI will be there, even public domain songs are listed. Hope that helps.

As an aside, before songs, I've always wanted to project this extract from Wesley's instructions for singing the hymns:

Quote:
Sing lustily and with a good courage. Beware of singing as if you were half dead, or half asleep; but lift up your voice with strength. Be no more afraid of your voice now, nor more ashamed of its being heard, than when you sung the songs of Satan.
"Directions for Singing"
John Wesley

(And at some churches sneak up and reset the metronome....)

I am aware of the song select feature in EW and do use it for our contemporary service. I was just hoping that there was a hymnal database out there that could be shared.

Thanks, Dave - I didn't know about this! It will save us a TON of time importing the hymnal lyrics!
