Simplist way of shortning video

what is the simplist way of playing a video in EW that you want to shorten.

Say a video off You tube, but you only want a 2 min part of a 10 min video.

I have downloaded the video, edited it in my editing saftware, saved it, converted it to mpeg. I am thinking now that there is probably an easier way.

I know real player can set the start and stop time and then use that in EW?
We have an internet connection so a player that lets you set the start and stop time. say from 2:00 to 4:: or whatever.

We can do that in SongShow Plus, but it's a hard start and stop, not fade in / fade out, so I don't tend to use it much.

In MediaShout you can set an in and out time as well as fade for x seconds.

Sometimes I use AVS video remaker to make minor edits without having to reencode the video.

QuickTime can trim videos pretty quickly. I've done that before for our satellite campus when the producer said, "can we just cut the prayer at the end and do it live?" after I was done transcoding and it seemed good.
