Be sure to get to a Midnight Oil training event!

If you have never been to one, and they are coming your way, make sure that you take the opportunity to learn from these two!

Check out their upcoming schedule:

Bring your pastor to the Creative Worship workshop and bring your laptop with PhotoShop or PS Elements to the Design Matters workshop for highest payback.

When just our graphics team went to their previous seminar, Digital Storytellers, we came back with lots of good ideas, but couldn't get leadership on board with the concepts.

The most recent time we went, we took our brand new associate pastor and he got the fever. Because of the way they presented, he totally got the vision and it had quite an impact.

Can you tell me more about what you learned? We have a design team and I would like to send the team leader to this conference. His day job is a graphic designer will this still benefit him?

He's probably get more out of Creative Worship than Design Matters.

Their Creative Worship write up in on the About page.

They talk a lot about using metaphor to get the message to stick and unifying the service to support the main point you want folks to take home (make the message stick).

Also information about worship design teams and stuff like that.

If He can make Design Matters also, he'll see how to apply design techniques to the worship setting and such.
