If it's going over cat cable, why not just run VGA? You'll get a better picture. I've never done anything on this scale - but the first thing that comes to mind is control. How are you planning on controlling the TV's? You need to have TV's that support RS232, and use a product from extron or whoever to turn the TV's on and off. There are lots of digital signage products that will run VGA, Audio, and RS232 over a cat5 to the TV. I'm familiar with the
Minicom DS Vision 300 and it works pretty well. We don't use it for the RS232, but I don't see any reason it wouldn't work well. I'm sure extron has a great product for this application as well, but I'm not as familiar with their line.
