| Get set aperture on my Canon 30D or 20D Not even Canon Support could figure it out. When I use the camera on Manual Mode I can't set my aperture. The dial turns but the aperture won't change. While I was waiting for Nicole (from Canon Tech Support) to see what she could find out I went into my custom functions and looked at which I had changed (on both cameras). It turns out that one of the Auto Focus point selection methods was to use the quick control dial and if you have it set to that it won't let you change the aperture in manual mode. While that should now be added to the Canon Database (and maybe fixed in the next firmware update) I'm surprised no one had ever reported it previously. Any other little surprises anyone found with their DSLR's?
