Just dropped my Canon 30D today - not much bounce, but it did keep right on working with no problems.
Canon Pro gear is built tough, to be honest I would expect the pro level Nikon stuff to be built as well but I've only drop tested a film Nikon, not a digital so I'm not 100% sure.

I went with the D90 which I like. My only dislike is all the cheesey features cramed into the camera. I guess I should have went with a true pro body and I probably would not have these issues.
