Any Joomla Experts?

Hi All

Our church website is built on Joomla CMS and although it is a great system we are having one or two slight problems.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Are you sure it is a Joomla issue and not an IE issue?

I would try formatting the first image the same as the second. The first image lists the alt before the source, the second image doesnt. It may be that firefox can deal with it, but IE cant. In Joomla, you should be able to edit the source code directly in the article.

Hi There

Many thanks for your time.

Using your above code and amending the src, now both images do not display.

sorry, the code I posted was from your site, not what you needed to put in. I'm at a loss at the moment, because a direct link to the image works in firefox, but not IE.

Something about the image must be corrupt. I downloaded it and couldnt open it with IE. I opened it with Picture manager, reduced the size to 99% and saved it. It then opens in IE. I would suggest doing the same thing.

Hi There

Many thanks for your time.

Is it possible that the images are too BIG and using html to resize them is causing the problems?

Is Picture Manager part of MS Office?

Is there an online alternative that we can use to resize images BEFORE adding them to the site?

Once again thanks alot!

Regards

resizing them should not be the issue, however it does cause the user to download a bigger file than necessary.

Yes, picture manager is part of MS office, but almost any image viewing/editing software would be able to save it anew.

Here is one I downloaded, resized, and put on my server so you could download it.

Hi There

So just to clarify.

Download the picture, resize it to 99% and reupload it?

In the future, what would be the best procedure for this?

Regards
