The best Sermon Player for Joomla finally

I have been using Joomla for the past 2 years and have been looking for a sermon player to integrate it with. I must have gone through 3-4 different sermon players but each was lacking in some way or another. I have finally found the sermon player with all the features I've been looking for.

It was recently created by some guy named Paul and it's free. This sermon player is Social Media friendly. You can brand it with your church logo. You can set it up as a pop window. You can implement it with Vimeo. It's really remarkable and I just had to share it. Check it out for yourself. It's called Preachit. It beats SermonSpeaker in my opinion which was the only option before.

I created a demo site so you can see the player in action. I set the feature to pop-up window. I branded it with a church logo. I implemented it with a Vimeo video. You know a lot of churches are using Vimeo for their sermons. I set it up with message series graphics for those churches that do message series. There is so much you can do with this player. Here is the demo site below.

We've been very happy with the Bible Study component (it does all you mentioned), but I will check it out. Thanks.

I believe I used that component a while back but it didn't have the Vimeo feature before. Is that component Social Media friendly to where you can share on facebook or twitter?

It is now, and it is integrated with all videos reloaded, which uses many players. Their new release allows you to customize templates for different pages ie Details page, Series page, etc. I will admit I havent even gone into all it can do, but you can see it in action here: http://www.southbay.cc/

Can you do message series graphics? Can you brand your own logo?

I check out the bible study component a little more. It's ok but I think Preachit is a better component. It looks more cleaner to me. For example the Bible Study component has a little bible logo next to the component heading, which looks a little tacky but you could probably remove that.

With Preachit for the audio and video it shows the title, speaker, date, series, scripture reference all on the player. I don't see that with Bible Study Component. I also think the video, listen and mp3 download icons could be better. Just my opinion.

So I installed Preachit on my site, and I must admit it is a great component. Thanks! I like the way I can display the series with images like you did on your template site. I like the way I can add all the media to a sermon on a single page. The only problem I have is that the popup player results in a 404 error. Any ideas?

Now - We just got licensing to include videos of our music. Any good ideas how to integrate that while also displaying by series? Is there a way to add multiple video files to a single message?

Glad you like it Mark. Since installing Preachit I have had a couple issues as well and customization questions. They have a support forum on their site and I ask my questions there. You should find your answers there and Paul the creator has been quick to respond to my questions. Also consider donating to him for further development and because he has already made an awesome component. How do you like it now compared to Biblestudy component?
