I have Joomla 1.5 and need a video player that when you hover over a video thumbnail with your pointer, it shows the video. Basically I'm designing a site where I can sell my motion backgrounds. I want my visitors to be able to quickly preview a background just by hovering over a video thumbnail.

You might try looking at FlashKit Dot Com for that. They have free templates for these kind of things.

Joomla defiantly doesn't have this out of the box, however the effect you desire can be achieved through javascript. Why no simply embed the player in the page for the video?

Are you looking for an effect like a coda mouseover, e.g., example. Perhaps you're trying to find a more lightbox style approach, with something like this example?

I'm not aware of an such plugin, and I think you'd be well suited for something a bit more custom for your purposes.
