Yell Church Management Software

Hi all,

My church has recently been investigating private social networking and church management software (web 2.0). There are so many different ones that you can choose including, Logos360, ACS, Shelby, Fellowship One, Arena (all church management software), and Unifyer (only social networking). There are many more companies, but I was wondering if any of your churches have CMS? If you don't know what it is google one of these companies and please tell me what you think. What comapany offers the best features for the money? I am open to any input.

Thanks,

Matt Goff

We currently use Shebly and are planning on switching to Fellowship One this summer. Shelby only runs on windows machines and we are now 50% mac and like to work from home so Fellowship One is a natural choice.

Is Shelby not one of those internet desktop merged programs? Is it not internet based?

We had Shelby offer us a quote a couple years ago when we purchased new software, but did not purchase it because of the price.

What we purchased was Church Helpmate. It seems to run our database just fine, and we NEVER throw away a record. http://www.helpmate.net/

It doesn't have the bells and whistles some do, but we felt the price/features was what we needed. Their customer service has been awesome, and we've been using it since early 2003, I believe.

The coolest thing about it is that it interfaces with OneCallNow - which we use at least once a week for bulk phone calls to the "Regulars". The other cool thing is that you can define your own custom SQL queries.

I don't know if they plan to integrate any social networking sites with the software, but I'm not sure that's necessary with all the tools out there for Twitter and Facebook.

It isn't perfect, but hey, neither am I.

We've used CDM+ since 2002, but I have no clue about anything when it comes to what it's features are, what it does, etc. I just installed it for the church and the Admin uses it...
