Calendar and Events extension for Joomla?

I'm migrating an older version of our church website to 1.5Native. We have used JEvents in the past. There seem to be a number of new components and add-ons to older components that haven't had a lot of ratings.

Is JEvents still a good choice? Does anyone have recommendations for other calendar/ events combinations?

I'd like a simple, css styleable module to display a summary of the upcoming week's events (ideally for all events and also only events for a single ministry), a full calendar monthly display, easy input of both one time and repeatable events, and possibly the abililty to subscribe/ unsubcribe to a mailing of events by the week, month, or possibly quarter.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

JEvents is still good but JCalPro is better, not free though.

JEvents just released a new 1.5native version. We've been very happy with the enhancements.
