Computer Contact Managment Software

I'm looking for any suggestions you all may have about software or web apps to manage contacts. The lead pastor is asking for something similar to the interface of outlook (with the ability to create contact categories) that could be accessed by any computer on our network.

We really don't need support for email, as everyone pretty much uses their personal email addresses from home to communicate. We just need the ability to share a changing database of contact information with multiple people.

Our pastor really likes how outlook handles contacts, but an exchange license is not an option due to cost. (I was of course told that free would be best, but what else is new with a church project?) We are running all XP Pro machines on a network with MS Server 2008 standard doing our file sharing.

Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks!

You might also want to check out Google Apps. I haven't looked into everything they offer, but I know there's a free tier and discounts for non-profits.

What does your administration think about using church management software? There's a few out there that offer free versions for new churches, or for those with less than 50 members. Roll Call, and Servant Keeper are the first two that come to mind.
