Save display setup in XP

I would like to retain the display setup on our sanctuary desktop. I want it to output to our monitor on display 1 and projector on display 2. When some ministries use the projector, they use personal laptops. Sometimes people boot the desktop before the projector and have to reboot to capture the projector. Can I set up computer so that it will always assume the normal setup?
Thanks

Different logins with different display profile setups perhaps?

Just thinking out loud.

Laptops usually have a function button that will switch between display set ups. With my ASUS, it's Fn-F8.

On our projection computer at church, the display 2 signal goes to a Distribution Amplifier (DA) and then goes to the projector and a send monitor on the desk. The DA tells the computer that there is a second monitor, so even if the projector is off, it still comes up with the right display set up.

I was really hoping for a software fix if possible. I would like to keep the hardware to the minimum.

I've not heard of one. The only way I know is to make sure the projector is connected and turned on first.
