| There is the usual chestnut of a loose connection. Failing that, it could be interference down the mains. Try and see if the occasional jerking is related to anything else nearby (e.g. an electrical heater). Try the screen elsewhere (home computer for example) and see if the physical screen itself is failing or is working OK in a different environment. |

| The problem is probably with the ETC or the monitor itself. IMPO an LCD wouldn't be affected from EMI because it is made up of liquid crystals that are electrically charged in order to produce an image. Because this type of technology is made up of tiny dots that are directly charged and discharged on a sheet of glass that is about as thick as a piece of thin cardboard, a magnetic field cannot effect it.
