Our congregation isn't so hot on the idea of having a large white projector screen in *two* places in the church. They want to maintain as much solitude and peacefullness as possible without a lot of equipment on the walls.

Not sure if you have found a solution to your problem or not Jen, but what we did was to mount the screen into the pulpit by cutting the top half open, mounting the monitor and covering it with tempered glass. I would venture to say 95% of the congregation didn't even know it had been done, the other 5% knew it because they saw it while on the platform. It was tastefully done, looked great and worked well. The pastor just had to get used to keeping his notes on shorter paper.

That's what we're doing, I know, I bought the screen yesterday, but it's a 15" LCD.
I got a good price

We ended up installing a 15" also, the only thing that stumped me for awhile was that we had the signal from the sound booth at the rear of the auditorium amplified to get the rear screen projector at the front to work (125'). Well we came out of the back of the projector and under the platform to the pulpit (50' cable). We could not get it to work until I stuck another signal amp behind the projector to power the signal to the pulpit. Nothing major, but you might run into the same problem. The other thing for us was that if you had the monitor on the pulpit 'shut off' when you powered up the system, it would not work when you turned the monitor on, but as long as it was turned on before booting the system, it worked great. Let me know how it works for you. / Rahn

When we get our projector mounted we'll have a VGA cable in the conduit about 30cm's away from the pulpit.

For now we'll run a 5 meter VGA from the projector out, when it's mounted I'll DA it up at my end, it's about a 70foot run.

We have two 15" monitors on the stage. One is for the pastor and the other is for the worship team singers. These are working really well for us. We have mounted the monitors on unused music stands. You just drill a couple of holes for mounting and cable access.

It is over 100 feet from the "sound booth" to the stage and we are running two monitors and the projector. To get enough signal we purchased a signal amplifier and splitter from Kramer. It works great.

Good luck.

We have 2 17 inch TVs on the steps to the platform. Pastor, worship team and choir can all see them well. The youth center has a 42 inch plasma on the back wall that works great. We don't have pulpits any more only music stands.

Our pastor used powerpoint and other 'helpers" for about 1 year and the tech crew finally told him it was cramping his abilities and he was using it as a crutch. Since he stopped utlizing he is on fire and sermon's are from the heart not the screen.

I know we have two 42" (I believe) plasma displays on stage. We just feed our projector output to those monitors through a matrix switcher. It ends up working great for both the choir and the pastor.

computergeeks.com is always selling lcd monitors and occassionaly has some small ones (for watching video in cars).
By the way - where are you? I looked at the website and it's pretty much gibberish to us types that only know one language. I'm guessing South Africa maybe?
