| Wireless Headphone systems We have some hearing impared folks that do not sign. Does anyone have recomendations on a wireless (I'm hoping for IR based as we have may lighting ballests) headphone system where we could place one or two transmitters on the ceiling and have multiple amplified headphones? Thx Joel CCRGV Posted by Joel Martin on Feb 27, 2002. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We use the Gentner TX37-A (which is FM, not IR) along with their corresponding RX-1A receivers and have found them to be great. We've had nothing but positive feedback from the members of our congregation. The transmitter comes with an antenna extenter (45') so you can rack mount the transmitter and have your antenna high overhead. FM also eliminates the need for line-of-sight that IR requires.Connections are easy, we just patch the assisted listening mix to an aux send on the mixer and provide a tailored mix to those who are wearing the receivers. It's also a relatively inexpensive system and you can always purchase more receivers at a later date as needs require Posted by Ryan on Aug 21, 2002. |
