Word Cloud - Great for Illustration

Just ran across this site last night. It's a Java based site that allows you to paste in a block of text and it generates a "word cloud" based upon the frequency of words. Once your word cloud has been generated, you can tweak virtually any aspect of it, such as colors, font (quite a few to choose from on the site), layout, among others.

Once you're satisfied you can save your creation to a public gallery or print it; however if you have a pdf writing driver on your computer you can "print" the result as a pdf file, which can then be further manipulated in graphics software.

I created an interesting cloud last night by pointing it toward my blog and using that content to generate the cloud. I'll try to upload it to the media exchange soon. There is also a gallery of creations so you can see what it's all about before deciding whether it is something you might want to use or not.

That is awesome, going to really spice up my Annual Report! I just copied and pasted the scripts from our productions this year to create a really cool overview of the productions. Also works well for "credits" when there are too many people involved to just put up a list no one will read but you still want to get people's names on the screen. Thank you!

Good idea on using it for credits! Hadn't thought of that. I've mainly used it for website graphics.
