Premiere I and II - what would you like to learn?

Hey CMN!

This thread is for those who are attending the convention physically or virtually. I'm trying to put my lesson plan together (no, I don't procrastinate!), and have a few ideas. I'm giving myself a golden 'duh' award for not asking this sooner. If you're attending the convention and intend on being in one of my classes, I wanna know what **YOU** would like me to cover! The foundational stuff aside, I want to make sure that my class is relevant to what *YOU* are doing. You can reply here or PM me, but I'm looking to make this class the most effective I can, so this has gotta be a two way street. The sooner you respond, the easier it is for me to ensure that I cover it. Thanks!

Joey

Perhaps how to adjust color on VideoLoops. This is a cool trick that I figured out that is EXTREMELY VALUABLE, especially with all the free loops on CMT, MovieTools, and Muddy River Media.

I keep with the 6 main colors (red,blue,green,yellow,orange,purple) and in many cases 1 free video loop has now become 6 or 7 in my library.

This also helps with the concept of color themes (using 1 color theme within a service for consistancy) when you have a BUNCH of loops all in the same color.

~~~~~
How do you add text to a video loop. MovieTools have tons of examples on their website, but not instructions:
http://www.movietools.info/index.php...dab8ef02da3b20
more examples: http://www.movietools.info/index.php...d=69&Itemid=78
plain text is easy, with MediaShout, etc. over a video loop. (i did it last week) but how to make nice 3-d-ish titles like in the examples.
1. How to use a layered Photoshop file and manipulate/move each layer in the video
2. Ways to make good looking use of any kind of moving still
3. Cheap, easy, quick tricks to give your video the latest 'with-it' look.
4. The best investment of $49 for versatile effects.
Sysmom, the single best $49us that I spent was on Riot Gear.
You get
30 Brush Paint Images (Brush Painted Images)
5 Ink Bleed FX (Effect of ink being absorbed)
25 Ink Drop FX (Ink dropped in water and dispersing)
10 Ink Flow FX (Smoke-like ink flowing slowly)
20 Paint Splatter FX (Paint Spattered footage)
10 Paper Textures (Unique textures from various paper sources)
20 Grunge Textures (Organic photos of rust and mold and grunge)
30 Splatter Images (High resolution pictures of ink splatter & dripping)
5 TV Noise FX (Bad cable like effect and tv snow)
And is so easy to manipulate to achieve the current 'look' for video.
Do you need AE for it to work? And yeah... that's the kind of flat out practical information I'm looking for. Thank you Lucas! You ROCK!
Yeah, I know I rock
You can use Premiere for some of it, you will hit a few limitations, After Effects is a LOT more precise than Premiere.
There's a bit more of a learning curve too.
AE is rev_65's dojo. @Sysmom: I've got another $49 toy for you to take a look at; it'll be a part of my advanced class. Keep 'em coming guys, but given that I've only got a little over an hour, I think I've got it fairly covered. I dunno if I'm gonna get to everything, but if you remember last year, you know I'll try!! =)
