I was doing one last proof of the brochure before I approved it to be printed and I found some inaccuracies in our last-minute text changes. I can't edit the text, so here are the changes:

Opening paragraph on the inside left. Change it to:

The 4th Annual ChurchMedia.net Convention comes to the Dallas/Fort Worth area this summer featuring internationally recognized keynote speakers and over 30 classes and workshops. This exciting media ministry training event can be attended on site or via the Internet.

Highlights:

#2 -- It says "don't miss a single class", but Len and Jason's stuff won't be available for download. Change it to:

FREE online access to recorded classes. Don't worry about missing a class. Most of the sessions will be available for later online viewing at no extra charge.

#3 -- Seems to say that the keynoters will be conducting all of the sessions. Change it to:

30 classes and 6 general sessions are conducted by recognized media professionals and church media ministers from all over North America.

In the "Pro Members" box. Change this line to:

"....access to a growing library of over 13,000 graphics...."
(take out "additional")

Sorry, mom. There were only two things that HAD to be changed. I wouldn't have changed anything if we didn't have to redo those two. You still did an excellent job!

Thanks again, Don! I'll get it right to the printer as soon as I get your files. You can just email the PSDs so you don't have to post them here. Zip them up if you don't mind.

Gads, I know how rushed I was, I'm VERY glad you proofed it. I tried to give reasons for the changes I made ... I'm always grateful when a copy editor tells me why. But there's still little things I'd never be as good with; I am just too far out of the loop, and not under the same roof as you are.

Form and content are actually two completely different frames of mind for me. And you've already pin-pointed exactly which one I was editing with last night.

I can do form, OR I can do content. Rarely am I able to do both at the same time. It's always a multi-pass thing for me.

I can be creative, OR I can code. Can't do both at the same time.

There are periods in my life when I can't walk and chew gum at the same time, too... just ask my hubby!
