[2008 Convention] Site Design

I'm thinking that we should use Don's very cool stuff from the brochure on the refresh your image website. It would be great to have everything looking consistent. It would also be a quick way to dress up the site.

Does that sound good, Phil? Would you like to work on that or round up some help?

If I can get the finished product (a psd) I'd be happy to do it.

Cool! I'm sure we can get that from Don. Can you send him a hi-rez OOTM logo?

Joel -- since you're out point man for M.O., could you get a logo from them?

Thanks, guys!

I've started re-working the RYI site to look like the brochure -- actually I'm slicing up the brochure for the site. Should we make the Drupal theme match -- or should we ditch the CMS and just use straight HTML? I'm not sure that we need a CMS for a site that's so small....

????

Anyone who wants to help work on it is more than welcome! I need to get it in shape ASAP so I can send out a newsletter. The CMN account, she is dry.

Let me know if you need a different version of the collage on the home page or the variation on the About page. e.g., a PNG with a transparent background to let the design show through instead of sysmom's cool background that I used.

Tim,

I have a program called site grinder. I could do it in that usinf Don's files as a base to start with. I could build the site on a subdomain until it is good to go. I could probably get it done tomorrow.

Let me know.

Actually, could you email the PSD to me? I'll put your stuff on a modified background make it look fluid.

Thanks!

Grrr.... Now I've lost the admin menu.

I'm going to go ahead and rebuild it in HTML. Drupal and I just aren't getting along. I'll have to take Dan's class.
