FREE After Effects Work Needed For Movie

Some of you may remember that one of us set out to make a movie a while back... Well, that one of us was me. We are smack in the middle of post production, and I have come to the reality that, without a lot of help, this movie may never get done.

With this being an all-volunteer project, naturally there was a lot of problems with the footage, once I began to edit it together. Well, long story short, I have listed about 200 problems I have found in the rough cut. Some are very simple, some are extremely complex - and all of them take time.

I have been trying to come up with a solution to allow me to fix them - but I have run out of time, if I am to meet my self-imposed May release. If there's anyone out there who is skilled in After Effect and interested in helping me meet that date, please PM me, or email me at director[at]theconchopearlmovie.net. I can't pay you a dime (it's an all-volunteer effort - plus I ran out of money during production), but I can put your name in the credits.

What do you need done in AE and what is this film?

What's needed: Clean up the shots - mics in frame, reflections in windows, etc. A lot of masking, some rotoscoping... some things as easy as zooming 5%, some as difficult as frame-by-frame painting. For instance, right now, I'm working on adding in a flashlight illumination, because the on-set plan didn't really work out when it got to editing.

Once all those issues are fixed, we'll still be doing things like color correcting...

A lot of us don't have enough time to commit to the full project, but might be able to commit to helping out with a sequence at a time when we're available. Of course that might questions about consistency and adds to the management burden, so perhaps it's not the right approach. If it's workable though, perhaps I could take a pass at a sequence or three...
