Please accept our apologies for the recent downtime.

For you techies:
a cascading series of failures caused the exponential growth of an error log which rapidly filled a hard drive which caused the inability to spawn new MySQL server processes

For everybody else:
we fell down and went boom

In any case, we got it up and running again in less than half an hour after it was discovered. However, it was down for a little while before that.

Once again, our apologies.

If I understand this correctly, It's kinda like when you miss a que during the Sunday service and someone interrupts you to tell you that the que was missed causing you to miss another cue and then someone else comes along to tell you about the 2 cues that were missed and then you miss two more while you are acknowledging the second person which causes a third person to come by and make you aware that you are missing cues left and right and so-on...then eventually your presentation has gone down the drain from having too many mishaps.

Is that a good example?
