[Big News!] Forum Changes

Starting immediately, we're going to be moving a few forums around and creating a few new ones.

Why?

CMN is here to provide support to media ministry in three arena:
* the technical - help with equipment and software
* the creative - ideas and artistry
* the person - spiritual growth, encouragement, and support for you

We're known as "the #1 go-to place" for churches on the technical. We do pretty well with the creative, and we'll be making some special efforts to build on that in the near future. However, right now we want to really emphasize the person.

I (Dan) am reminded of my days as a youth minister and going to events sponsored by Youth Specialties. People at those events worked really hard to build us up in the kingdom of God, give us value as youth ministers, and help us become the best youth ministers we could be. A few years Tim gave me the okay to do the same at the CMN convention. In the end, I ended up taking other convention responsibilities instead. However, why shouldn't it happen here where it can impact so many more for the kingdom of God?

While a few tweaks to the forums alone won't change things (and you can do your part by being edifying of one another at all times!), they will signify and encourage the attitude of celebrating media ministry which is integral to what we do.

change #1: We've moved the "Freebies, Discounts, & Sales" forum from the PRO Member's section into the new section where everyone can read it! We'd still like to encourage people to become PRO members, but we know how important freebies and discounts are to people trying to build the kingdom of God on a limited budget - and we want to help with that regardless of whether you're a PRO member or not!

change #2: We've moved the "Teams & Leadership" forums to just below the new section, because it's about relating to people.

change #3: We've created the EAT forum! (Encourage, Applaud, & Thanks) Make good use of it!

change #4: We've moved "Birthdays, Intros, Awards & Contests" to new section

change #5: We've added "Share Your Story", a place to share how you became involved in media ministry and to share media ministry-related or other praises to God

change #6: We've added "Prayer Requests (Public)", a place where non-PRO members can now share their prayer requests, and where PRO members can share prayer requests which they would like read more publicly [PRO members can still share prayer requests more discretely in the "Member Prayer Requests & Praises" forum]
