[NEWS] Under the Knife!

As seems to be the tradition with me around this time every year , I'll be in the hospital for at least two days starting tomorrow, Monday, November 12, 2007. I'll be having a sort of corrective surgery on my left hip. For those of you not following the saga, my left hip was replaced in 2003 because of Avascular Necrosis. The doctor made a mistake and made my left leg about an inch too long. Because of this I developed Iliotibial Band Syndrome, but I didn't know it until a different doctor diagnosed it a few months ago.

So now I'm having an operation to fix that muscle band. The doc will go in and remove the bursitis (inflammation) around the hip joint and then he will cut the IT band in such a way that it will lengthen. Hopefully once it's all healed up I won't have pain in that hip anymore. If the band stays lengthened and not tight like it is now, it won't rub against my hip joint anymore.

Although this is my fourth surgery and who knows how many times I've been hospitalized, I'm still fairly nervous. I've worked really hard with the help of God to shake off a lot of medication-related problems. Now I have to go through anesthesia again and pain-killers (Codeine, etc). I'm not looking forward to that.

While I'm out Phil (skstarkiller) and Joel (osborn4) are in charge. Monica (ME!) will handle the business end as much as she can until I'm able to get back into action. Hopefully it won't take more than a week to be feeling alert enough to work.

Father God: One again we come to you in the power name of Jesus asking that you touch you child Tim. We ask that you give him peace. We ask that you guide the doctors. We ask that his recovery would be quick. Also we pray in the name of Jesus for Phil and Joel as they head Church Media while Tim recovers.
We also want to remember Monica as she takes on the extra duties of the business end of Church Media.
We are going to thank you in advance for answers to pray.
