| Here is what we want to do. Stream a feed to the remote server, which we already have in place. Stream on the local LAN, for use in media shout. Ie so we can have the "live" feed up on screen with great vga quality. We do have a scaler but the cameras look like junk on the big screen. And the third stream to save a hi quality to the hard drive. Anyone know how to configure adobe flash encoder to do this? What I have been told at least in saving a HiQuality copy you have to set it up on stream #2 but I really do not have any other instructions other than that. |

| Encode the highest resolution you can handle via your ISP uplink. Typical DSL speed should be a sustained 730kbps or better. The encoder software can save a local copy. For the live: Use a firewire camera feed to your mediashout computer. Others will mention that too much manipulation of the video will cause latency issues. (IMAG image of speaker will be delayed in relation to the sound). We use a Viewcast Osprey capture card in the encoding computer. Their SimulStream software will provide multiple "pins" to distribute copies of the videostream for local capture and encodings on the same computer. We have NOT been 100% satisfied encoding and running mediashout on the same machine. The server software can downscale to lower resolutions for worshipers on slower ISP connections. Talk to your server (hosting) company for details. |
