New / Debating Pro!

I appears that many area's of the site are if not dead at least dormant.

Is it still worth becoming a PRO member?

And now the intro

I don't use the MXN frequently, but the it's convenient when I need to look for something, even ideas.

I paid for access once. I didn't renew.

I've been a Pro member since the very beginning when they started with that option. For me personally, it's not about access to certain areas as much as the fact this site is really is a ministry and I view the $39/year as an investment in that. Sure, it might not have constant updates in all the areas (most online forums do tend to ebb and flow in size and active areas) but this is a HUGE resource when you consider the sheer number of posts and people with expert experience floating around.

I've gleaned immense knowledge and learning in the time that I've spent here and I think it's awesome when a volunteer sound guy or computer operator at a tiny church has a question (or is discouraged and is on the verge of quitting), stumbles on this site, and is able to get not only a tech answer but encouragement and advice from others who are "in the trenches".

So in essence, for me, I view pro membership as an opportunity to help keep the lights on!
