iTunes for backing tracks and "pre-service" music Hi, we just setup a dedicated laptop to use itunes to play back music. This way, if we have someone singing to tracks we dont have to worry about cds skipping, or swapping them between songs. We also want to use this for playing music before and after service. I figured we could make playlists for "before service music", and "performance tracks". The problem is, it seems that the ability to play continuously seems to be a global setting. We need the "before service music" to shuffle and play continuously, but when doing performance tracks, it would be helpful if it would stop after the track and wait for you to double click the next song. Can anyone think of a way to do this? Some tracks dont have much silence at the ending or begining, and you really have to be "on your toes" to catch it between songs.

If it's a PC, Use Multiplay https://www.audiovisualdevices.com.a...play/index.php. Make your cue list, then tell it what you want to happen at the end of each cue (stop, pause for x seconds then start the next cue, etc.).

Greg4God Thanks. Throne Together Ministries is beginning it's 7th year providing ministry teaching for young people who feel lead and gifted to sing southern gospel and quartet style gospel music. Though we do provide vocal coaching/teaching/training, the primary focus of the group is to provide opportunities for the youth to minister to congregations AND feed them spiritually with sometimes hard hitting devotions causing them to think seriously, study His Word allowing them to grow closer to Him as well as gaining strength in Him. We may only sing 10-12 times a year from Ft. Wayne, IN, to Grand Rapids, MI, to Detroit, MI, but at each opportunity, the congregations and members of TTM are blessed by the opportunities and the working of His Spirit. For the most part, we sing what we are given. Christian Davis (Christina Brothers Quartet - now Daily & Vincent) was one of the first to provide us with materials. The Booth Brothers were next, followed Three Bridges, Mended Wings, The Beene Family, and the latest Triumphant Quartet. The Lord has blessed me personally with many friends who are in the ministry of singing His Gospel to reach the lost, hurting and saved through my 27 years at The Gospel Barn in Hillsdale, MI. Through those friendships and built trust, I have heard quite a bit, and have seen quite a number of young people go into singing thinking it's something different, and not being equipped to successfully and faithfully deal with the spiritual warfare and worldly side of that "industry." God continues to bless. We can be followed on facebook https://www.facebook.com/ThroneTogetherMinistries and though we have a URL, I'm looking for a place to host our simple website. Again, thanks for the interest. Back on topic of using iTunes... I also utilize the podcast features of GarageBand. Using PowerPoint or Keynote to make slides, I will make podcasts with lyrics so that the iMac we play our list off from becomes a teleprompter. We have close to 150 songs we could sing, and honestly, I can't remember all the words anymore. C.
