Music without musicians Like many small churches (I'd guess) we are blessed with a few musicians, but not many. On most sundays one or more pianists or guitarists are present. But occasionally (especially in flu season) the praise team gets hit hard enough that we may have to make do "A Cappella". A long while back, before my time, my church acquired a gizmo for playing midi tracks called "synthia" http://www.synthiahymnplayer.com/index.htm We haven't used it for a long time, but it strikes me that with computers everywhere, there might be a newer gizmo that does this sort of thing. A computer program that plays midi tracks at selected tempos and in whatever key you like. able to setup a playlist much like the projection software we all use. (eg. song 321, v1,c,v2,c song 346, c,v1,c) Anyone know of such a beast? Or more generally, what do you do when no musicians show up?

Came across this a couple weeks ago. I've never used it but it would have been nice when we were using tracks for worship... http://flyworship.com/

Its not cheap, but look at http://www.interactiveworshiplive.com/ You need Ableton Live (an audio software program) to playback the tracks as well.
