| Sony Acid Music Studio 6 issues Currently we record our sermons directly from the mixer to a Sony CD Recorder and also directly from the wireless mic via a y cable to our video camera so in a sense we have 2 forms of audio. But on the cds it never fails, we need to edit out dead time and we dont have any editing software. So when the cd comes out its a guess as to how long you wait till you start to hear the sermon. We have problems with hiss, but i think i got that fixed. Sound guy doesnt mute all channels and the piano likes to hiss a little through the monitors near pastor. Ergo wireless mic pics it up. Surely it shouldnt be that complicated to record a decent sounding cd!!! I found a copy of sony acid 6 that we had here, but was never loaded to a computer. I loaded it to my laptop and can record to it from the mixer into a line in jack (not the microphone jack - volume was to high). My problem is that when I play my test recordings I am picking up lots of extra high frequencies and hiss. I also hear a strange clicking sound. I know its not my headphones as it comes and goes with the recording. I only have the one channel un-muted on the board. I cant for the life of me figure out where this is coming from. Is this software just buggy and worthless? Hypersensitive? It doesnt seem to have a way to eq or filter anything out. Of course I just started using it today. For another test, I sent a signal from the cd player to mixer then from mixer to my laptop. Sounded fine except when i hit stop. then the clicking starts. Any help would be great. |
