| pitch correction in a stompbox! this looks nice, as long as you don't mind your pitch correction being in your monitors maybe not for everyone, but I'm going to get one for my wife in december and see how they work. The effects.....? meh, I could care less. I would buy it if all it had was pitch correction http://www.bossus.com/gear/productde...ideo&skip=true

| other than the antares vocal producer, what other rack mounted units are there? I like the antares, but due to the mixer we use, I can't use them It also looks like the unit I linked to can be used as a splitter. I'm wondering if one signal can be sent out of the left channel as effected, and the other uneffected, for feeding one to a monitor board, and another to FOH?

| These products are a joke really. They are not intelligent (yet). There are two ways to correct pitch. Melodyne does it one way and everyone else does it the other. Both have big time artifacts. Both are very obvious. The problem with using these things on stage is bleed. If you have something else bleeding into the mic with the vocal, and it is on pitch, EVERYTHING gets tuned. I will say that I have heard Kevin, the late great lead signer for Quiot Riot, use a DOD foot pedal harmonizer. He took the time to program it for each song, and it sat well in the mix, combined with the other live harmonies. BUT, that is a different thing. Using Auto-Tune type things are hit and miss at best in the real world, and are used mostly as an effect to get that sharp knee "Vocoder" type sound. |

| I've had wonderful experiences with the antares vocal producer. I just can't use one with the mixer I have now. With the antares, you can set the rate of correction, adjusting it from a very fast adjustment to slow, which eliminates the annoying cher effect If the roland did that good a job, I'd be thrilled

| update for an old thread... I just bought this for my wife http://www.tc-helicon.com/products/voicetone-c1/ it's a pretty nice unit! easy to hook up, easy to use, and as long as you don't go overboard with the amount of correction, it does a really nice job
