| Audio Recording options Hello All, I work for a lighting service agency and we do occasional sound installs and repairs. We got a call from a church who is looking for options on how to record their services to CD or MP3. I know at the church that I personally attend they use a portable audio recorder that is hooked directly to the mixer and it records to MP3. I don't know off hand the specific brand and model it is but I wanted to suggest this option because they would not be limited to having the files be on computer and it seems cheaper than the CD recorder and duplicator that we were quoting them. Is this the best option or should we just go ahead with the CD recorder. Also, what are some good program to record live audio that aren't super complicated or expensive? Thanks! |

| They could run audio from their board to the line-in on their computer and record using the free open-source recording tool Audacity.

| There are quite a few options for portable recorders. I think the H4N is great. Or you could check out some more here. http://www.sweetwater.com/c1006--Portable_Recorders |
