| USB or Firewire to ADAT I am looking for a simple, portable USB to ADAT or Firewire to ADAT adaptor to carry with my laptop. I have googled extensively and have not had much luck. What I would like is a simple adaptor with one ADAT input and one ADAT output, nothing more. I know about products like the Presonus Digimax Lightpipe, but that is much too big to carry in my laptop bag. I just want a simple 1 in/1 out adapter. We have a Presonus Firestudio setup in our main auditorium that we have configured to record up to 26 channels at once or play back up to 10 channels. I would like something similar but much more portable without the mic preamps and multiple ADAT connectors. Just 1 in/out (8 channels) of each is all I'm looking for in this device so I could do simple multitrack recording or playback from our other consoles. Optionally, if it had a SPDIF in/out as well, that would be okay, but I really don't want any analog I/O. Anybody have any ideas? | How about the M-audio Profire Lightbridge? http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_u...ghtbridge.html |

| That is kind of what I'm looking for but with way more inputs and outputs than I want. Plus, that is in the same price range as the Firestudio Lightpipe which is more than I want to spend for a single ADAT input and output. | In case anyone is interested, I gave up on my search since the product I want doesn't exist right now (or at least i can't find it). I ended up settling on a Focusrite Saffire Pro 24. It's a half rack unit and is larger than I want, but it gives quite a few input and output options and includes an ADAT input. It doesn't have an ADAT output, but with the other output options it has, I'll make it work. I considered the M-Audio 1814, since it has both ADAT in and out, but it was quite a bit more than I was willing to spend.
