Problem with Kingdom One Touch cd duplicator

We're having a problem at our church with our cd duplicator. Maybe someone can tell me if I have something set up wrong or if the duplicator needs repair.

It's a Kingdom One Touch Optical Duplicator with 5 bays. The problem is that some of the cds will repeat the same 10 or 15 minute segments of the message over and over again. This happens frequently. It's actually a fluke to get a cd that is recorded properly. The master cd is fine, it's the copies that have the problem.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Some duplicators are very picky as to the quality/type of master it will make good copies from. You may want to check the documentation for the copier and see if it has any guidelines.

Thanks, the manuel does specify a certain type of master.

Now, do you think paper labels make a difference in the quality of the master or the copies?

I wouldn't put a paper label on the master. But I'm paranoid.

And, it shouldn't matter, unless it starts to peel and get stuck in the master drive.

If the label is staying in place, it shouldn't matter.

Our church also uses the Kingdom One Touch duplicator. It has given us stellar service for years now. We also buy CDs from them which may cost more than Wal-Mart or other chains but they work great. I agree with the paper labels. I don't like them at all. We get ours pre-printed when we order them.

The best CD-Rs are Taiyo Yuden. They have the least errors and most acceptance among players.

Labels can and do cause discs to spin incorrectly, which lends itself to errors.
