| Aviom / IEM and Cables We have Aviom monitor system. Today we plug Westone earphones directly to the back of the Aviom units and the musicians build their own mix fed from our M7CL board. Works well for us! Now we want to move into the world if wireless IEM. I bought a single Sennheiser package with a transmitter and bodypack receiver. So you would think this would be easy but cabling is the hassle now. The Aviom has a line out 1/4 TSR output jack currently used by the earphones directly. The manuals for both Aviom and Senn. suggest I can simply take that 1/4 out and split it into two L/R XLR connections (or 1/4) as input to the Sennheiser. I can't seem to find anywhere a good quality premade 1/4 male TSR to two XLR connections. I prefer XLR but wondering if anyone has source of cabling that will help me put it all together. My vendor tells me there is no such thing and it would have to be custom built. Really? Thanks all. First time poster here. |

| you could look at 1 of these http://www.aviom.com/Aviom-Products-...-Expansion-Box, or look online at somplace like full compass or sweetwater but do remember that you input to the wireless is unbalanced with the MT-X box or using the cable the other option would be getting a new aviom mixer A-16R but the price will add up quickly. another option could be not using the aviom for wireless and come off the M7 |
