LS9 error?

I just installed a new ls9, our first service with it is tomorrow. I was working with it, doublechecking that everything is configured properly and I saw the message

file from scene_drv.cpp ls9

on the bottom line of the screen. The operation of the console didn't seem to be affected, and it went away after a minute. I tried googling it but found nothing. What is it?

Just getting to the console today. I immediately noticed my main scene was missing, completely gone from the scene list. Fortunately I had just duplicated it to another scene number yesterday. It's still there so I duplicated the 2nd scene back to the main scene. I don't know if this is connected to the error or not. Missing scenes is a little worrisome.

Might be a good idea to reset the console and start over. But I'd call Yamaha support first: 866-211-9366.

This looks like an internal error generated by the LS9 firmware itself.

Files with the extension ".cpp" are files written in the C++ language. My guess would be (from the filename starting with "scene" and the fact that you lost your "main scene") that the internal firmware tried to save your scene and (in the process) an error occurred with the saving process for some reason.

I agree with Tim. As your LS9 is new - call Yamaha for support. At least you will have logged a call just in case it wasn't a 'blip' and you want to exchange your LS9 in the future for peace of mind.

I would check to make sure that the battery voltage is OK within the LS9 (this is indicated on one of the set-up screens). Just a thought.

Don't forget that you can backup your LS9 configuration both to a USB stick and to a PC/MAC running Studio Manager. This should allow you to recover fairly easily from exactly this type of fault should it ever occur again.
