LS9 Studio Manager question

I have Studio Manager set up to control the feed for our web cast. Essentially I have channels 1-32 for FOH, and mirrored them to channels 33-64 for the live stream. Works really well, except for the cumbersome process of re-launching Studio Manager.

Unless I am missing something, each time you launch SM, you have to manually open the last saved file, copy the settings from the LS9 into SM, and then manually open the windows that show channels 33-64.

Is there a way to save the file and have SM recall things just the way that I saved, and left it?

Thanks,
Brad

AFAIK, opening the saved settings file you had from the previous SM session is redundant. While the file is good to have as a backup in case the LS9's own settings get hosed, when you pull the settings down using the synchronization window (or by going "online" or re-syncing in the master window), every setting in the Editor is overwritten with the current state of the LS9. So, except for being able to quickly save the settings to to the existing file on disk, there should be no need to load the file when you start up if you'll be synchronizing anyway.

That makes sense. But I still would like to find a way to save the screen configuration so I don't have to re-open the fader windows and other options that I use on a regular basis.

Unfortunately there isn't a way to save the window layout in SM or any of its mixer-specific plugins. You could use a macro tool like AutoHotKey to automate launching SM, connecting to the LS9 and opening/arranging windows into your default layout, but if you moved stuff around you would lose that new layout and revert to whatever you set up when you recorded the macro.

For the broadcast mix, I'd use StudioManager for soundcheck (mainly getting the dynamics set) then switch to StageMix for the show.
