| The new mixer series is a digital version of the GL series, with motorized faders, etc. These consoles will be about $800 or so more than a comparable Presonus console. The differences aside from the moving faders would be that AH will not be packaging third party software (SMAART) like Presonus, and does not have a complete recording system. I do not know this is gospel fact, but I suspect that the new digital series will not be a building block system like the iLive. It would not make sense to offer something comparable or compatible with iLive. The iLive is a great system. Unlike Yamaha, Avid, etc, etc....ALL iLive engines are the same and completely scalable. |

| I think I might have even seen a blast a few months ago about a digital version of the MixWiz, but that may be my old age. A digital form of the GL series would fit the market, especially with motorized faders. For me, any digital out (optical, etc) would be a fine alternative to FW or USB connectivity. The market is needing another good solid competitor since the TT24 disappeared. ** Yes, I'm well aware of the pro's/cons/failures of the TT24, I sold them, installed them, still support them, and have 3 locally that have no issues.** C. |

| Anyone seen more info on this? I still don't see anything on the website....do we know what this mixer is called or anything? I'm very curious because I love the iLive (haven't actually used one though.....) so if they came out with a $4000 one, then I would probably have a better chance of getting it (we don't have a big budget for media so the iLive would be really tough to pull of...but I can hope....)
