New Midas Console

Just wondering if anyone has seen the new Midas Pro2 consoles. Since we are looking for a new board I almost jumped out of my skin, then in their promo stuff I saw they had been bought up by ("the company formally know as") Behringer.
Anyone know if this has affected their quality? According to the promo this board still using the Alex Cooper preamps and other Midas components starting at $22,000.

Surely somethings different, this is to good to be true.

Somewhere between a Maybach and a Hyundai Accent is the perfect car for my needs. To exclusive and it has all I want but I can't afford it. To many compermises and it just won't do the job. Behringer passes on the benefits of high quantity mass production, (A good thing,) but they keep going and use cheep components and poor assembly) Example, take apart a BCF 2000 and you will see that the faders are driven by a small timing belt (OK) that is designed to be adjustable, but they don't adjust them. just leave them lose. It doesn't work as well, but......

Did Midas move down that road to a real nice Audi or Lexus or did they go to far. I don't know. It will be interesting to watch.

Friends don't let friends buy Behringer.

I have not heard this particular system yet.

Behringer is still Behringer. The Music Group owns Behringer and now owns Klark & Midas. Behringer does not own Midas. Sometimes people, myself included, lump it all in together.

We have been told by Midas tech personnel that there has not be Midas technology used in any Behringer analog gear yet, but it will happen. Uli owns the keys to the shop. There is some digital in the coming X32.

Most of those Midas people that made Midas what it became in it's peak are long gone. They will keep recycling the old designs into new releases. All of the Midas gear is manufactured in China now. Three Midas personnel were relocated to China at the beginning of the year, to oversee production.
