We went with Audinate Dante card, for 16 track digital recording, only $500. For me it has been great because I know I can go to network audio for relatively inexpensive, adding another Dante card is only $500 (the bummer is the price for the Whirlwind PXP-DA which is $2500), but looking into the future, I see a lot of Cat-5e runs and a few nice Gigabit network switches in my future. |
The LS-9 is a great choice for many churches but I have to go back to the original comments that they are looking for a 32 channel console and that "we are looking at something not beyond $1500." While it may not difficult to find what they want for that budget, it is likely also not practical to consider something that might cost 4 or 5 times that much.

Just wanted to emphasize the reputation and relationship aspects as those are critical and also suggest that you don't limit this to dealers as there are others with whom it could also be beneficial to develop relationships. Maybe when that church or theater or club down the road upgrades their systems the people there or that work with them that you go to know will offer you an LS9 that they're replacing for $1,500!
