New Sound Tech with a Mackie TT24 Grace to all, I am Blessed to be asked to run the sound for my church here in Vacaville Ca. I have a musical background as a guitar player for 40plus years and am fairly competent with analog mixers and sounds systems, however..... our church has a Mackie TT24 and the challenge is before me. I praise God for this forum and look forward to any input I can get as I progress in this endeavor. Questions will follow, Be Blessed! Jim

Thanks cm, my first request from the worship pastor is to send a good clean signal from the TT to our computer that records the services for internet application/use. i viewed the video's on the makie site about matrix plus and think i have it. go to matrix mix, (picked a) selected analog 1-24 and set them to post, now going to hook up cable from tt to computer

Jim: As one who is familiar with the quirks of Firmware updates on the TT24, if it works as it is, don't change it. Depending on multiple unpredictable manufacturing flaws, and what cards may be inserted into the cars slots, you may find yourself in a predicament. I would recommend the firmware update ONLY if you have not had any technical issues with the board AND if you do not have the DSP card or other I/O cards installed. If you do have a DSP card or other I/O cards installed, take them out before the firmware update, put them back in, and install the individual updates for the cards as applicable. I have 3 local TT24's in good working order, but none of them have any additional cards. C.
