| M7CL urgent help needed asap!!! Hi guys, I recently got hired at a new church as a graphic designer and they asked my if I could mix sound this Sunday since their sound guy can't be there. Their backup sound guy can't be there either. They asked me because they know I have mixed sound at my old church. I do have experience with an LS9 but not an M7CL. I have played around with an M7CL but it was very brief. I have a couple of questions. 1. Is sends on faders easier to do on an LS9 vs. M7CL. With the LS9 I would just have to press whatever mix button twice and it would be sends on faders. With the M7CL I think I had to press the Sends on Faders button then hit whatever mix button, which is one more step than the LS9. Is this correct, that getting Sends on Faders is faster with the LS9? Or maybe their is an option to where I can set a user define key to pull up a sends on faders mix? 2. With the LS9 I could use sends on faders to control what channel I wanted to send to my effects for reverb and delay. For example I assigned mix 6 for my reverb. Would you go about doing this the same way with an M7CL? Thanks guys! |

| On an LS9, I use the second layer for monitors, so for me it's a lot harder than on an M7. I press 33-64, press (the desired) mix, press (the desired) mix again, make my adjustment, press 1-32, and press Home. A heck of a lot more work than analog, but I love having the mix on faders. I believe you can program UDKs to pull up mixes, but I'm not positive. I always use the last four mixes for the FX on the LS9 - I believe on the M7 you have the same routing flexibility as on an LS9 - use what you want for what you want. There may be some good tutorial videos on Youtube. Then there's http://totrtips.blogspot.com/search/label/M7CL%20tips , and of course you can download the manual and search for items of interest (so much easier than using the hard copy - most of the time). |
