I am using AirFader with an LS9. Much more comprehensive than the Yamaha iPad app... it's not free though. And it is Windows only and does not support multi-touch.
You can download a demo.

AirFader also plans on adding M7CL compatibility.

Thanks for that info. I looked them up and that looks like a great program. It says they have some updates and that the M7CL compatability is coming soon. Looks like its well worth the money.

Thanks again

Ok.. I posted a few years ago about the M7. Having used one in our business for 3 years now and we also use an LS 9 32, I like the m7 better because of the touch screen. Otherwise there is no difference to me because I don't use dca's anyways, just a preference. I am currently doing the show The King and I using 24 wireless body mics, floor mics and an full orchestra with 6 audio technical 20/20's, a keyboard and bass. I love the m7 and would not trade it for anything! We use a Mac mini for sound effects and we use an IPad with an apple router to set up remotely. Only problem we have with the remote operation is the router. When we went to the apple router... No problems. I don't know exactly what it is, but we are setting up a new iPad app for a local show choir director to be able to run his music remotely from his iPad.
As for the ls9 32... Great board! A local theatre bought one and once it was set up, anyone can run it...

We sell the Soundcrafts over the LS9. Similar work surface concept but more DSP resources. All DSP can be used on every in and out without having to manage resources, and they sound a bit thicker.

Ok pdc, i'll call you on this one. Let's see your technical proof that the Soundcraft has more dsp than the ls9. Oh and btw the ls9 has full availability to all resource functions all the time on 64 channels on the bigger of the two ls9's. I'm not saying i think the ls9 is better but technically i believe you are blowing smoke.

Usually thick only comes into play in audio when you slightly delay the original sound and play it back along with the original sound to create a thicker sound. In this instance you can make any console sound thick...although i wouldn't want too. I would prefer to only thicken certain parts of a mix.

Sorry. You did not see my tongue in my cheek? Have you not read my posts about the Soundcraft consoles? I hate the work flow of the Compact Si. They came a little to late to the game IMO. But, they do sound better than the Yamaha's. Of course, my Presonus SL24's pres sound better than my church's M7. As for the DSP comment, that is what the reps are selling against the Yamahas. I thought I mentioned that here as well.
